Customer Reviews

Great product for the price5
this is a nice product for the price. The sound quality is very good. I bought this and one with the color screen and am happy with both

I'm happy!
This is my first experience with an MP3 and I am very pleased. It is easy to load and operate. I sometimes have trouble with the toggle switch and getting the music to start but it could be me, as my wife seems to have no problem with it. I recommend this product.

like it
It is really good for the price.
The 2 GB size is great, especially with the FM radio built in.
Will someone please make one with AM as well.

I do wish that it had a clip on the back in addition to the eye on the top.

You really need a rechargable battery with it.
It goes through the single AAA battery fairly quickly

Good Value
Good Overall Player, Good Price, Very easy to use, Good FM Tuner and Recorder function that few players have. Only complaints are: 1- the headphones are too big to fit my ears, the cable tends to get very tangled, there is no quick release of the headphone leash to the player
2-The armband came in a cream color that did not match in my opinion the player color, black would have been better

exactly what I need4
We lost our car charger for our Garmin nuvi 350. This cable does the job like before. I just wish that it was less costly than that (>$20).

Don't get this unless you have two cars2
Each Garmin Nuvi comes with its own DC cord. So unless you have 2 cars that you will be using the GPS in, don't buy this extra one.

Great item -- same as the original adapter5
I needed a spare 12V adapter for my Nuvi. I found this one at a reasonable price, and it was delivered promptly. It is made by Garmin, and is an exact replacement for the original. Just what I wanted!

This is INCLUDED with the Nuvi 350.
So far, this charger has worked fine. Just want to clarify, though:
You don't need to order this separately, at least not if you order a Nuvi 350. The 350 comes with the car charger, AC charger, leather case, dash mount, and windshield mount. Don't order this unless you want two for some reason. Many of the accessories shown on the GPS unit product page are already included.

Comes in package with navigator.
This accessory is part of the original package when you buy the Garmin Nuvi navigator. You also get the windshield mount, a leather envelope for the unit, and an AC charger. Don't buy any accessories at the time of purchasing the unit. I bought this knowing I wanted and needed it and ended up with two and had to pay for return postage when I returned it because it was "My Fault" I couldn't use it. You only need this if your original one wears out or if you want to have multiple vehicles completely equipped. The product itself is excellent and keeps the navigation unit power from being depleted while using in the car.

Power Adapter great - just like original
I needed a second power adapter for my Garmin navigation unit, since I use it in 2 different cars, and didn't want to undo and remove the adapter I installed in my primary car. This second adaptor is as good as the factory unit and serves my purpose quite well, not to mention that the Garmin NUVI navigator is the greatest thing since sliced bread!!

Editorial Reviews

Manufacturer Description

The 9.1-megapixel Panasonic DMC-TZ5 packs a 28mm wide-angle, 10x optical zoom Leica DC lens in a compact design, ideal for the active photographer who needs a versatile camera. By combining a 28mm wide-angle lens, which lets you capture a wider-framed shot when compared to a traditional 35mm camera, with the TZ-Series 10x optical zoom, you're empowered to take expanded shots, both wide and far. Panasonic's Intelligent Auto technologies are also expanded, with new Intelligent Exposure and Digital Red-eye Correction.

With the addition of Intelligent Exposure and Digital Red-eye Correction, Panasonic's Advanced Intelligent Auto mode consists of seven intuitive technologies, all which are specifically designed to help make photo-taking an enjoyable and seamless process unnoticed by the consumer -- helping them to take clear photos. When in Advanced Intelligent Auto mode, the following technologies all operate automatically; no settings need to be manually changed.

Also new to the TZ5 is the Venus Engine IV, Panasonic's new high-performance image processing LSI. The Venus Engine IV produces higher-quality pictures than its predecessor, the Venus Engine III, by using a more advanced signal processing system. The new Venus Engine IV also improves noise reduction, elevates the detection accuracy and corrective effects in both Mega O.I.S. and Intelligent ISO and reduces the shutter release time lag. Both models also incorporate Intelligent LCD, which detects the lighting condition and controls the brightness level of the LCD in 11 fine steps, to offer optimal clarity in any situation, whether dark or light; indoors or outdoors. With a newly developed 460,000-dot high resolution in the TZ5's 3.0-inch LCD, photos can be easily viewed on the display, regardless of the shooting environment.

The TZ5 is also capable of recording 720p high-definition motion pictures, and because of its support of SD memory cards, is easily compatible with Panasonic Viera plasma HDTVs that have an integrated SD memory card slot, so viewing photos is simple. Also, with the newly added HD component output capability, users can also connect the TZ5 to an HDTV and watch a slideshow complete with mood-appropriate music, choosing from natural, slow, urban and swing.

Lumix DMC-TZ5A Highlights

Intelligent Exposure With this new feature, photos will no longer be under- or over-exposed. Instead, the TZ5 instantly analyzes the framed image and adjusts the brightness in areas that are too dark because of dim lighting, backlighting or the use of the flash. The camera will automatically adjust the brightness accordingly.

Digital Red-eye Correction This feature helps to eliminate the red-eye problem that sometimes results when taking flash shots at the night. Incorporated into the built-in flash, the camera emits a small preliminary flash before the main flash, detects red-eye and will digitally correct it.

Mega O.I.S. Gyrosensors detect hand-shake and the lens system shifts to compensate, helping to prevent hand-shake from creating a blurry image.

Intelligent ISO With Intelligent ISO, the TZ5 can determine if the photo subject is moving and change the ISO setting and shutter speed accordingly, thus giving a blur-free photo.

Intelligent Scene Selector Intelligent Scene Selector senses the ambient conditions, recognizes the shooting environment and will automatically select the appropriate scene mode from: Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait or Night Scenery mode. This intuitive technology, helps you use the most common scene modes that are built into the camera, but often go unused, without making any manual adjustments.

Face Detection Panasonic's Face Detection detects faces anywhere in the frame and automatically chooses the optimal focus and exposure settings so portraits come out clear and crisp. Detecting up to 15 faces, Panasonic's Face Detection can even track a face if the subject is moving.

Continuous AF The Continuous AF (auto focus) system maintains focus on the subject even without pressing a shutter button halfway, thus minimizing the AF time.

Customer Reviews

Disappointed3
I bought this camera for the 10x optical zoom and for the AF feature. I was disappointed in the picture lag time and it does not take good pictures in low light situations. However, the red eye feature works great and the zoom. I took the camera back, due to the bad low light pictures and the lag time.

Amazing camera!5
The Leica lens are brilliant, wonderful colors, good compensation on low light conditions, very good zoom and excellent stabilizer. Very simple to work with. Excellent buy!

Panasonic TZ45
This is a great product. It has wide-angle and 10x zoom in a small package.

My lap is cooler - thank you!5
Many a night, I use my laptop while watching TV. I have tried many different products that are suppose to cool the laptop. Well, this one works. You dont hear it running and I was wondering if it was working. Well, I then felt the cool air - yes cool air running out the sides of the product. I have noticed that the bottom of my laptop is cool even when it has been running all day. I now carry it with me in my laptop bag. My only complaint with it is that the USB cable is a little too short. I wish the cable would of just been a few inches longer. Other than that, the product is perfect. I definitely recommend this product.

Very nice cooler4
Works very well. Keeps my 2 GHz laptop amazingly cool. Extremely quiet even at top speed. Although I use it with my 17 inch Laptop, I wish that they would make it a little bit wider to better accommodate the wider laptops. Highly recommended.

Labtop cooler4
Nice, sleek style. This product was worth the money, the only downfall is the size.

Great price, works as I expected4
I have one of these 2GB card already, and its been working fine without any problem. Guess the concern here is the reliability for the card, especially compare with other cards on the market. I am not aware of a consistent pattern of these cheaper cards fail more often than the more expensive ones, such as the Sandisk cards. Not the fastest card, which is expected also. No complaints so far.

good performance, well fitting to my need4
I have ordered this SD card together with a Lumix camera. The card provides the performance I need for the camera. So well fit and timely delivered.

Micro SD5
Works great, great price, got on sale and haven't had any problems with it. Great for more memory on your cell phone or MP3 Player or whatever else you may need more memory for.

Can't beat it for the price!5
Worked perfectly fine. I have not tried any expensive cables but the quality of my HD channels and PS3 gaming with these cables are excellent. I wouldn't think twice about spending extra money for other cables that does the same job. For the price of these cables, just click on buy.

6" HDMI Cable. Rockin!5
This cable for as cheap as it was works just as good as a 150 Doller cable. picture and sound are great.

Excellent quality; outstanding value5
Visit most audio/videophile forums on the net and you'll find a string warning against buying those "high-end" cables sold at the big box stores. This product is a prime example of why you shouldn't spend more than a few dollars on cables. This HDMI has performed flawlessly for me connecting my xbox 360 to my new plasma t.v. For less than $10 shipped I got an excellent cable for what could have cost me $30-$60 in a store for a brand name. Trust me, take the money you save and invest in your games/movies collection!

Sweet bargain, great performance
I got this HDMI cable for under $10 just to see whether it will work as well as the expensive ones and it was well worth the risk. I tested it with my upconverting LG DVD player on 1080i resolution on my 42" 1080p Westinghouse LCD TV and it works just like any other HDMI cable, including those loud names who charge you ten-fold for "golden plated extra special micro gravity nanotechnology space age wireless high conductivity low noise extra gauge supercalafragilisticexpialidocious" cables with no difference in performance. By buying this cable I avoided the huge "naive citizen tax" included in these products. Considering its price, this is an amazingly good cable.

Price performer!
HDMI is a digital signal. That means it's all or nothing--not like analog where you may have degradation due to signal loss, crosstalk, radio frequency interference, etc. As long as you have a decent HDMI cable to transmit the digital bitstream from point A to point B, you're set. I just purchased the new Sony Bravia S-series 32 inch LCD TV. To go with it, I trashed my old Apex with the missing remote and got a deal on a Sony DVP-NS70H upconverting DVD player that can synthesize "extra" lines of resolution. The player can send 720p or 1080i signal to the TV. (Current DVDs are 480p; that standard will change eventually with Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.) I knew that the upconversion feature only works through a digital connection, so I'd need to get an HDMI cable. Started checking prices and, no surprise, they were all over the place. Some were in the $100 range. Despite mild skepticism, I decided to try the cheapest one. This little beauty arrived in 3 days in a plain brown wrapper and a clear plastic bag. The cable is surprisingly robust, with nice build quality, supple insulation, and good connectors. I started to feel vindicated. So I plugged it in, put Harry Potter in the DVD player and WOW!! The DVD player and TV did their magic. Spellbindingly great picture and sound. I haven't tried a component analog connection--those cables are REALLY expensive and quality matters more there--so I can't compare component versus HDMI. Bottom line: this is an unbeatable price performer for around $10 incuding shipping. And no, this is not an April Fools joke.

Why pay out the wazoo when you can get this cable?!?!
OK - here's the story. I was going to buy a Toshiba HDTV. I had picked it out already and was ready to purchase it and that was when I found a promotion at a local retailer that if I bought a Toshiba HDTV then I can get $200 off of any of the Toshiba HD DVD players. The HDA2 was normally $399 but was on sale for $299 and with the $200 off I got it for $99!! You can't beat that!

Well, I got that on Tuesday and it was an unexpected purchase. I asked the person at the store how much the HDMI cable would be so that I can hook it up as soon as I get home. He said, it's a Monster Cable and it costs $124.99! Whoa! I went up to the shelf and saw the sticker that said $124.99 on it and on the sticker it said "Financing Available"! What?! I'm not going to pay more for the cable than I did for the DVD player! These guys are crazy!

I told the guy "You are nuts if you think I'm going to pay that amount" and I logged onto Amazon and purchased this HDMI cable I'm doing the review for. I paid, with shipping, less than $9 for it. I was a little worried about it though - I'm sure that there must be a difference between the $124.99 cable and the $9 cable. So, I took the test. I went and purchased the $124.99 cable (mostly because I was too anxious to try out the new HD DVD player and couldn't wait for it to arrive). I plugged it in and of course the HD DVD I played looked absolutely amazing! The very next day I got the $9 cable (pretty fast shipping by these guys by the way) and I hooked it up. I was worried what I would find but when I started watching the same HD DVD that I watched the night before on the $124.99 cable I could notice NO DIFFERNCE WHATSOEVER between the two cables' results. So I returned the $124.99 cable.

You will not be sorry if you purchase this cable over the other ones in the major retailers. Don't let them tell you "it's a better quality cable" or anything like that. This cable is built very well - you can just tell when you hold it in your hand that it was made well. You don't get the fancy plastic packaging that you have to tear into with a knife and cut your fingers on though (oh what a bummer!). Get this cable. It's great!

The only thing you will want to research is that I have seen in some literature that there are two different kinds of cables. I think there is a special one for 1080p DVD players (dont' quote me on this). So do your research before purchasing just to make sure that this is the correct "type". As far as build quality - picture quality, for use with an upconverting DVD player as well as the Toshiba HDA2 HD DVD player, it's an absolute steal.

How Does One Compare?
There are already almost 500 reviews on this one simple 6' HDMI cable, so how can I possibly add anything to the comments? Well, I'm not going to emphasize the technical part of this cable. I will simply say this, I went to Walmart to get one, the cheapest they had was $39.95, I went to Best Buy, the cheapest they had was $59.95. THIS IS FOR A 6' CABLE , FOLKS...made in CHINA. How , i said is the $59.95 cable BETTER than this one for a mere 2 bucks or less? Well, I happened to buy a 3' cable spur of the moment when i got my first HDMI connective DVD player. It was over $20...I purchased this cable to hook up a new receiver and changed them around just to compare. IF, and that is a big if, there is any difference, I cannot tell it with the naked eye! Someone is getting rich. I will buy several of these, the price is GREAT, ok, so you have to pay a little S/H. Big Deal, You could still buy 10 of these to 1 of the higher priced cable and not tell the difference. Good Product, ABSOLUTE BARGAIN OF A PRICE!

Can't Beat it for the Price4
2GB USB Drive was just what I needed. Small, compact and transferred my files quickly.

Good Purchase4
It's extremely affordable, small, light and nondescript which are all good things. I recommend this product very much. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the plastic hook at the end is so weak. After maybe only a week on my key chain it broke off. They should have made that part out of metal. So now I can't use it on my key chain. Otherwise good purchase.

where is it1
I order this awhile ago and still have not got it in the mail yet. I have order three shirts and got them right away. I LOVED THE SHIRTS and yes they run small so i order them a size bigger and they fit great. i would love to get my kingston traveler drive so i could use it.

fast, cheap, and no u3 junk - highly recommend

For the guy who posted above, there is no lanyard included with this flash drive.

I got this a couple days ago. Looking for something that could hold large files to let me switch from a laptop to desktop and back more easily (no more toting a whole external hard drive back and forth).

Other than cost (and this seems to be a good bargain), my other issue when looking at flash drives is speed (also I didn't want any of that U3 crud). I transferred a 490 MB file to the flash drive in just about 3 minutes. That's more than fast enough for me.

The flash drive has turned out to be a silver lining too. After I found out I would not be able to install Linux on my desktop, I found that I can actually install various Linux distros to the flash drive and boot from it instead (search for pen drive linux), with plenty of space still to spare.

Ultimate Portable HD
It is amazing how much the prices have fallen on these portable USB thumb drives. It is also amazing at how much some manufacturers are still charging for their models which have only a fraction of the drive space compared to the Data Traveler. I use an intel Mac Pro and when I plugged in this new device it was instantly recognized by OS X and the icon appeared on the desktop. The very first thing I tried was to copy a 550MB file to the device and it would not work. I canceled the copy operation and immediately went into Disk Utility and repartitioned the device to OS X Journaled. The device comes from the manufacturer formated in MS DOS 16 bit. Once I repartitioned to OS X Journaled, the file copied over beautifully with no problems. So, if you are a Mac user, be aware of this fix as you may have to implement it. The other thing to note is that it is a bit slow in copying files. You can copy to the device relatively fast, but when copying off the device to another hard drive, it seems to take quite a bit longer. It took over 11 minutes to copy a 550MB file from the device to another desktop Mac. That's pretty slow, but for the price and the size of the storage capacity, I am not complaining.

amazing product
I strongly recommend this USB drive. Its small size makes it easy to slip into your pocket, and also makes it easy to fit into even crowded USB ports. My previous drive did not fit into my USB ports without moving other USB drives out of the way. I don't have that problem with the Kingston drive.

I have also never had any reliability problems with this drive. On another drive, I had issues with files getting corrupted (particularly if I didn't "safely remove hardware.") However, I have never had that problem with the Kingston drive.

As others have mentioned, it doesn't have a lanyard which is rather strange...but not a deal breaker.

if you want a great drive, at a great price the Kingston data traveler is a great choice.

Customer Reviews

Beware of defective cars1
I just got this card recently after seeing the good reviews. After a couple days of use, the card starting giving me a write error. I plan to return it. I should have bought a brand name card in the first place.

Great Card - Fast Transfers5
This is a great product. The transfer rate from the card to my computer is a whole lot faster than an older, slower 1 Gig card I was using.

I have a SLR camera and tested this card against my slower card and the picture taking/recording rate was about the same. I think the newer DSLR cameras have a buffer so the speed of the card really doesn't affect the speed at which a few pictures are taken.

However, with a lot of pictures on the card, it's nice to have a fast transfer rate when I'm copying the pictures to my hard drive.

The 8 Gig storage is great. I can store over 2,000, 10.2 megapixel pictures on the card.

Great product5
This product works very well. The only problem I had was when I took it to Walmart to print photos, the computers could not read it directly. When I inserted it into the slot, the computer froze. I took it to CVS and it did the same thing. I was frustrated. However, I decided to us my SD card reader instead and it worked perfectly. Since then I have not experienced any problem. It works fine with my computer and camera.

I recommend it to any one who takes lots of pictures and like video recording like me. I recorded one hour video and it was great. I don't have to worry about deleting pictures to create more space. I have plenty of space. Go for it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great affordable 8GB SDHC card
I recently bought this 8GB SDHC card for my Canon SD1000 camera. The card works very well and I've had no problems with it so far. If you're in the market for an affordable high quality SDHC card, this may be the one for you. Sorry, I kind of sounded like a used car salesman right there, didn't I? I assure you that I don't work for Transcend. But, here's why I think this card is awesome:

Pros:

-Affordable!

-Large 8GB capacity

-Class 6 read/write speed (which is the fastest speed currently available)

-Lifetime warranty (at least that's what the package says :)

-Transcend is a reputable company that's been making memory products for a very long time. ( I swear to the tech Gods that I don't work for them!)

Cons:

- I can't think of any right now. The closest thing to a "Con" that I can think of is that if you buy this card now, it will probably become cheaper in a month or so :) No, make that 2 weeks.

IMPORTANT SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT SDHC MEMORY CARDS:

-SDHC cards are not compatible with most older SD cameras, SD devices, or SD card readers.

-SDHC cards are rated by speed using different "classes". There are currently three data transfer speed classes available for SDHC cards. These classes are "class 2, class 4, and class 6". For example, "Class 2" would have the slowest read/write speed while "Class 6" has the fastest read/write speed. So if you have a device in which speed may play a crucial role, make sure you buy a higher "class" SDHC card. Again, this SDHC card has the fastest read/write speed available right now. Class 6 has a minimum read/write speed of 6mb/sec... while Class 2 has minimum speed rating of 2mb/sec, and Class 4 is 4mb/sec. Starting to see the pattern?

SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "SD CARDS" AND "SDHC CARDS?

SDHC is basically an upgrade to the older SD cards. The reason they upgraded it was to achieve greater data transfer speeds AND capacity than previously possible with normal SD cards... and to do this, they had to redesign the card (which is why it's not compatible with normal SD devices). This was necessary because digital cameras and digital video cameras these days have higher resolutions, which equate to larger file sizes and faster data transfer needs.

I hope I haven't confused everybody by going into this much detail, but I can't help being the nerd that I am. If you are confused, don't hesitate to comment on this post and I will try my best to answer your questions. Also, any feedback is always welcome!

Conclusion: Buy the card if you have a new device that uses SDHC. It rocks! (This message has been approved by the "Duke of New Mexico")

5.0 out of 5 stars My Canon loves the 8 GB SDHC card
I recently purchased a Canon Powershot A720IS digital camera that is capable of recognizing and using up to 2 TERRABYTES of memory card (in the future) so I wanted to get the largest memory card I could install for now. I wanted to use the camera both on dry land and with an underwater housing for shooting stills and video on dive trips. Camera specs said an 8 GB SDHC card would record one hour of hi res video at 30 fps. Or nearly 2300 hi res stills at 8 megapixels.

A test of the Transcend 8GB SDHC card in the camera ended up shooting 70 minutes of full screen, 30fps digital video that could not be distinguished from my DV camcorder video quality. Playback from the memory card to the TV was so fast & efficient there was never a single "stutter" on the screen. The card speed is genuinely FAST as advertised. Low level formatting of the card allowed for very acceptable rapid-fire sequential still photo shooting speeds when light levels were bright enough that the flash was not needed/used. Something like 2 photos every 3 seconds. Files were flawless in display, both for stills and video.

This product was significantly lower in price than the Kingston 8GB SDHC card I originally bought with the camera. I've used both interchangeably and cannot see any different in the speed or capacity and quality of imagery is identical. For the money I'll stick with Transcend and am looking forward to getting their 16GB card once the price drops substantially below the $100 mark. That would provide nearly 2 1/2 hours of video on my still camera or 4600 highest quality stills. I'm afraid my camcorder will be collecting dust much of the time. A big advantage to video on the card is there are NO MOVING PARTS, e.g. a mini DV tape cassette and camcorder or VCR playback unit needed to dump the video and stills to my Mac for editing and burning DVDs. I just stick the card in the MicroMate USB card reader, plug it in the computer and bingo, ready to sort thru and dump to the hard drive. Since the card is formatted by a Canon camera it automatically boots up the Canon Viewer software too. That should work the same for other brands of still cameras formatting this chip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Used in Treo 700p and in USB Card Reader
This 8GB SDHC is my second Transcend SD card. My first was an 1GB SD.

After having used some real slowpoke doozies in my Treos (namely Ritek, PNY, and "generic" cards of capacities between 1-4GB), I would rate these as good or better than SanDisk Ultra II's for quality and speed. The 1GB 120x Transcend SD card seemed almost as fast, but this Class 6 SDHC card is the fastest SD card I've ever owned. Saving 300k photos is almost instant and so is switching between apps and email stored on the card.

Note, though, if using on the Palm OS - it will show only 4GB available; however, once you fill up the first 4GB, it will then show the actual remaining capacity. It does not affect the amount (7.5GB) of usable space, though. This is a quirk of the PalmOS rather than the card. Using an SD-to-USB adaptor, the capacity shows correctly.

I can't wait to get my hands on the 16GB version from Transcend (and later the 32GB version) at a reasonable price (i.e., when they fall under $100).

Customer Reviews

I love this GPS!!!5
This GPS has saved my life since we moved. It is easy to operate and allows me to take risks driving that I would not normally take. The gas prices feature is fantastic and has saved me as much as $.07 a gallon. It is a good investment to use both locally and when you travel. I have found many restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and feel confident when I am driving that at least I will make it home with the "go home" feature.

Great GPS5
I've had a Garmin GPS for my boat and used it in the back country in the Florida Keys and never ran aground, so when I needed one for the road bought a Garmin. I paid a few dollars more for a better unit and it sure paid off. After I bought and used it in one car, had to sell the car and bought a SUV equipt with a navigation system. Believe it or not, I like the Garmin a whole lot better.

Solid upgrade from StreetPilot IIII4
We just upgraded from the Garmin StreetPilot III we had used for the past six years. Improvements in core GPS functionality and the form factor are much appreciated. Bluetooth integration with my Sprint Treo 700p phone works nicely, although I wish the GPS could access the Treo's entire phone book rather than just its speed-dial. The MSN Direct service is functional and convenient, albeit inessential thus far -- haven't yet given its traffic features a real workout.

Customer Reviews

A "Must have" item5
Since there have been many Garmins with windshield mounts stolen in my area, I decided to order the Friction Mount and set it on my console. It works very well and keeps the unit out of sight, and easily disconnects and stores when I park. Or I just throw a sweater over it so it isn't visible. In 2 months of driving it has slipped off twice, but caused no damage to the unit since the mount is heavily padded.

I'm surprised that it works so well, and highly recommend it!

Excellent product for our Garmin GPS Devices5
This has been the absolute way to mount our Garmin Nuvi's on top of the dashboard. Window mounting is illegal here in California so this has worked out just great. It does not slip or move anywhere. A really nice product to have.

Good for Garmin Nuvi 6604
This dashboard mount is good for Garmin Nuvi 660. The suction mount which came with the Garmin package was not so good. My GPS fell down couple of times, while using the suction mount.
This dashboard mount has been good so far.

Great Camera, lousy software!4
One part of the software package has to be registered. This in turns runs a small billboard in lower right hand corner that you cannot turn off. The billboard advertises the latest weekly specials, and acts like spyware. The other portion of this software package is a program that has no uninstall executable. Upon deleting this program I was warned, that other programs may not function if deleted. I think Panasonic can aford to do alot better than this... still, it's a jewel of a camera!

Great camera with good video option.4
The one great thing about this camera's video is that you can have it when you need it without carrying multiple items. It will not replace a good camcorder, but it does provide good quality video (720 HD) with ease. It is very small, and provides you not only with good video, but great photos. I have used panasonic before, and have been very pleased with the photos and also pleased with the video on most of the small digital cameras offered by them.

The colors in the photography is crisp and bright, and is very easy to use. The video is good, but seems to have trouble with the autofocus during zooming, however, it is a big plus to be able to zoom in a camera like this. I have read that if you play with the settings, you can make the focus better during video. Another big plus is the 10x digital zoom. If you are looking for a good point and shoot camera with a good video option, you should be very happy with this.

Perfect for travel5
I took this on a cruise - it was perfect. Not only did I get consistently better snapshots than those with compact cameras, but I was able to take some spectacular pictures of scenery - sunsets, coming into port, etc. Exactly as reviewed, best camera I have ever owned.

My Review5
I bought this DVD player in anticipation for a flight to Vegas from Orlando, and then back. I got on the plane with a full charge and when we arrived in Vegas, there were still 2/3 bars. The battery life was great, the picture quality was excellent...except one dead pixel. When you're watching a movie, you don't even notice it. Kudos on this one. I like it!!

CCD REAR VIEW CAMERA OPTION5
Sony DVP-FX820 8", this is a great dvd player for several reasons.
I was at Ultimate Electronics Mpls shopping for 2 - 46" Sam's for the monster garage.
I was about to leave the store being tired and brain damaged from all the choices when I stumbled
onto this new model FX820.

10 minutes later it's out of the box in my truck and viewing the CCD camera view out the back.
This has been an ongoing pending project for months to get this done.
I can now back up to enclosed motorcycle trailer dead on target in the middle of the night w/o
getting out and checking for permanent DAMAGE. That's a snow storm story in it's self.

Bring it into the office and simply plug in the Bose sound system and enjoy theater action at it's best right in my lap.

I researched all the options to use my Apple laptop as the infared CCD viewer, and it's not possible under $200.
Not only is playing DVD's on the laptop a heavy heated process, but a huge pain in the vehicle being the laptop's screen doesn't rotate 180 and lay flat like this Sony player can.
It's simply not possible in close quarters with high performance 5 speed shifter in the way for a laptop.

Next option now is making velcro holster on the face of the dash to hold the SONY player for viewing for travel enjoyment and camera viewer. Just tap into stereo or the dual head phones jack on player.

I'm also a photographer using highend digital Canon SLR's, and video gear and this player with be the greatest gadget to view RAW images straight out of the camera before processing.
Yes, I'm a Happy Camper having just picked it 3 weeks ago. This QUALITY for under $200, are they nuts?

Here's the problem I have buying products on-line. I never really get a true sense of quality of what I'm looking at in a micro image thumbnail until it's in my hand the first time. My hard drive is full of research.
The biggest hurdle to start with, there's so many out there. Sony was a hands down choice to begin with.

I'll bet NASA will have these on board for the shuttle crew. The heck with free satellite TV while in orbit.
Me, I'd be watching re-runs of Mad TV, and Married with Snots.

I payed a little more at the store than here, and if I did have an issue, I'd be back in the store within 5 minutes. That's a bit difficult with a mail ordered deal. My research was complete that day. But to see People paid $1000 for players not that long ago, this is very cool.
I'll be back at this page to purchase the next one or two for wedding gifts. They won't be returning this one.
Cheers..

Happy with the Purchase5
Small and portable. Excellent screen. Playing long and clear. This is 3rd portable DVD player owned and we really like it. Bought for extended use on airplane ride. Not worried about volume, can hear it just fine under normal conditions.

Absolutely Fantastic Camera5
Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera. I have been disappointed and frustrated by the last three or four digital cameras I purchased, and got a little wiser this time. I mostly use my cameras for vacations and snapshots, nothing earthshattering, but I have, in the past, had a lot of trouble with blurry, vague, dark pictures, except with my very large digital Kodak, which is too big to take on an upcoming trip.
I purchased a 4G highspeed sd card and an extra battery and leather case along with this camera. When I received it, I charged it, actually read the manual, then started taking lots of photos, and I am having a great time with it. Maybe this will turn me into a half way decent photographer.
My initial battery charge is lasting a very long time, (two weeks +, and it is still fully charged) and the pictures are the best I have ever taken.
I am blown away by all the things this camera will do, and how easy it is to figure out, all in a small but sturdy package.
Most of all, I am super happy with the quality of the photos, and cannot recommend this camera highly enough. I was a little concerned initially at the lack of an optical view finder, but the screen is excellent, and its brightness level is adjustable. The camera turns on and is ready to use almost instantly, and focusses quickly. Pictures turn out sharp and clear, even with the flash, the zoom works easily with a very accessible button, and there is absolutely no red eye.
I cannot give you a very technical review, I am just a regular casual user.
I am very impressed, having fun, and cannot recommend this camera highly enough, it exceeds all my expectations.

Excellent camera, I couln't be happier..!!!!5
I tried several digital cameras before, mostly Sony and Nikon and I kept felling unhappy with the shots taken, finally I decided to give Canon a try, the camera is EXCELLENT, the color quality is precise and the performance is the best I've seen. I am a Canon fan now.

This is perfect!5
I love this thing! I bought it as a gift for my dad, and now everyone wants one! I bought a card for it (the one that Amazon suggests with it), and had no problem using the USB cable to copy photos from my computer onto the card. I love the slideshow feature - although I have 2 minor complaints:

1. The slideshow doesn't have a random option (at least that I know of), so it only play in the order you put the photos onto the card. I handled this by mixing up the photos as I copied them onto the card.

2. It doesn't adjust portrait photos that are saved in a landscape form. So, in order for the portrait photos to show correctly, you have to save it in portrait form on your computer before copying it to the card. If you don't, portrait photos show sideways.

I'm not sure why some people complain about this frame. For what I was using it for (as a gift) - copying photos from my computer to a card using the USB cable, it worked perfectly! The photos look fabulous on this frame, and it's super simple to use! I will be buying more in the future!
